    REX Airlines comes on board

Once again, REX Airlines has show a commitment to the youth of Broken Hill by sponsoring the girls' return flights to Sydney for the November weekend intensive. This is a huge relief - and watch out for an article in a future inflight magazine about their big adventure! Anne

Girls doing well at Sydney bootcamp

Well .. here we are. The end of week one bootcamp. Girls don't seem so enthsiastic on day six! LOL.
Six  hours a night is certainly putting them through their paces - although Shannon now has a solo performance in vocal and Cath has a verse on her own as well.
They have met some big names, made some new friends, developed some new skills and are working with people whose dedication to their art is unquestionable. They have been measured, photographed, and streteched to withing an inch of their 14 years! Let's see how week two goes next week!

    Boot Camp

    Hey everyone :) Shannon here....
last week saturaday Catherine and i embarked on the 13 hour trip to sydney. we caught the three fourty five bus to Dubbo on Country Link Intercity travel and then the connecting train to Central Sydney. It was tiring and a bit strange. We made friend that got on at Cobar, they also sat with us in the connecting train.

We then took a slow walk to the nearby YHA, its the railway square one, and got an awesome room! its a railway cabin on tracks!!! this Youth Hostel is pretty epic and they have awesome toasties:)

Anyway on sunday we got to AIPA for the introductory session. I am in Cast one which is made up of 24 people 21 girls and 3 boys. We are the younger group and are more of the disney kind, our profiles are being sent to Nikelodeon and Disney...SO EXCITING!! anyway, we're made up of AMAZING dancers that sing epicly!! and alll the boys are singers, as am I and two other girls.....maybe thats why i am in so much physical agony.

Cat is in cast two...no idea who thats aimed at but its more 16 year olds, she is the youngest in her cast. And still an amazing dancer:)

And now the moment you have all been waiting for..........BOOT CAMP. Is it as bad as they say????

Well.. i couldn't walk for two days without groaning if that counts??? We have an INTENSE warm up containing around 50 sit ups 25 push ups and so much more...
I'll tell you the rest later guys...Cat wants to make use of the available time we have left in this metal city containing so much air pollution...i miss stars:(

    So shopping:) with Cath :(

    Ta ta for now

Willyama High School has a tradition of academic achievement, a diverse cirriculum and success in the areas of sport, creative arts and in fostering community partnerships and catering for a variety of student needs and abilities.

It was Tracey Hicks who sent the life changing email to the girls. The inspirational teacher, who has travelled with the girls to Sydney for the NSW School Spectacular, has not only given them this great opportunity but is now co-ordinating a lot of the fundraising locally.
